Two friends go to a cinema. They walk to the booth and order a ticket each.

The ticket prices are $8 (admission with popcorn), and $5 (admission only).

The first friend gives the cashier a $10 note and is asked to choose between the two types of tickets, which he replies, "$8".

However, the second friend pays $10 and the cashier, without hesitation,  gives him a $8 ticket.

Why doesn´t he ask which ticket he prefers?

Really fast, M.M. You´re right. The second boy gave the cashier two $5 notes. ;)
This video is dedicated to Marta, one of my two "Favorite Girls", who is going to meet Justin Bieber in Madrid on April 5th. ☺
